Crystal Kreitler, proud daughter of a military veteran, is a lifelong resident of San Angelo. Crystal's roots in San Angelo run deep, with both her parents and grandparents also being born and raised in the city. Crystal received her education locally, attending elementary, middle, and high school in San Angelo.
With a strong passion for education, Crystal considers herself a lifelong learner. She obtained her undergraduate and master's degrees from Angelo State University, where she not only furthered her education but also met her husband. Crystal earned her PhD in Psychology from TCU, under Angelo State's "grow your own" program. After completing her doctoral studies, Crystal returned to ASU as a faculty member, now known as "Dr. K” to her students. For over a decade, she has served as a professor, teaching courses on Research and Statistics. Additionally, Crystal has authored more than 20 research articles and a textbook on research methods. Her extensive training ensures she will be a great listener, communicator and one scrappy problem solver for clients.
In 2022, Crystal embarked on a new journey in the real estate industry, working as a loan officer assistant alongside her husband, Josh, whom she has been happily married to for 19 years. Josh is a vice president of mortgage lending for First Financial Bank. As Crystal delved into the loan side of real estate and assisted with mortgage contracts, she discovered her passion for helping clients secure support for their home purchases. With her strong foundation in numbers and research, Crystal has become a knowledgeable representative in the field.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Crystal is an active member of the community and a respected leader. She has served on five boards and various state committees. Additionally, Crystal volunteers regularly at her church and recently participated in the scholarship committee for the San Angelo Association of Realtors. She is passionate about helping vulnerable children, and she was honored as the 2024 Volunteer of the Year for Whit, a Texas-based nonprofit organization providing free tutoring to children in foster care. As a breast cancer survivor, Crystal also leads Team Pink in the community, helping others with their cancer journey. Expect Crystal to be an empathetic agent with exceptional leadership abilities.
